It's unfortunate the annual NPS "Fat Bear Contest" is over with because I think this big bruin would have been a contender!
A healthy, well-fed bear is a sign of a functioning ecosystem and this one looks to have enough reserves to sustain it through winter, even with our current temperature of -10˚F...
