This image, to me, is quintessential Iceland, and one of my favorite moments from the first tour. We were busy photographing a small group of reindeer (the first I'd ever seen in Iceland), but I was more intrigued with the scene behind us - a group of horses on a ridge with the mountains in the background and moody clouds overhead. I waited to isolate one of the horses as it stood in a perfect pose.
